Tulum is an important Maya archaeological complex located in the Yucatán Peninsula, Mexico. Its particular position, on the coast overlooking the sea, meant that it was the first Maya city to be spotted by the Spanish on 3 March 1517.

Its favorable geographical position had previously decreed its fortune making it become an important commercial port of products such as fish, honey, salt etc

The most important building in Tulum is undoubtedly El Castillo located near the landing, a small bay that served as a port.

Destination of tourists from all over the world, the charm of Tulum is also given by its beaches of fine sand, typical of the Caribbean coast.
